Just before he died,
he said to his wife,
"When I die, I want you to
take all my money and put it in the casket
with me.
I want to take my money
to the 'after-life' with me."
他得到太太全心的的承諾，
他死後，
她將把所有的錢放進棺材。
And so he got his wife
to promise him with all of her heart
that when he died,
she would put all of the money
in the casket with him.
他死了，伸展著身子躺在棺材內
，他太太穿著黑衣服坐在那裡
，她的朋友也坐在她旁邊，
當完成了儀式後，
在辦理喪葬的人要蓋上棺材時
，她說：「等一下…」
Well, he died….
He was stretched out in the casket,
his wife was sitting there in black,
and her friend was sitting next to her.
When they finished the ceremony,
just before the undertakers
got ready to close the casket, the wife said,
"Wait, just a minute!"
她帶著一個盒子，
並且將它放進棺材中。
She had a box with her,
she came over with the box
and put it in the casket.
然後辦喪事的人將棺材封起來推走。
Then the undertakers locked the casket down,
and they rolled it away.
她的朋友說：
「我知道妳不會笨到把所有的錢
都放進去棺材與妳的先生一起吧！」
Her friend said,
"I know you weren't fool enough
to put all that money in there in the casket
with your husband!"
這位忠誠的妻子說：
「我不可以不遵守我的話啊！
我答應了他，要將所有的錢跟他
一起放進棺材。」
The loyal wife replied,
"Listen, I can't go back on my word.
I promised him that
I was going to put that money in
that casket with him."
「妳是說妳真的把所有的錢
跟他一起放進棺材嗎？」
"You mean to tell me you put that
money in the casket with him !?"
那太太說：「是啊，
我確實這樣做了，
我把所有的錢存進我的帳戶
，並且開了一張支票給他，
只要他去兌領他就可以用了。」
"I sure did," said the wife.
"I got all the money together,
put it into my account and
wrote him a cheque.
If he can cash it, he can spend it."
故事的教訓：女人比男人聰明！
